Sentry Documentation
Everything you need to get up and running with Confidion Sentry โ from your first search to building investigations your whole team can act on.
Getting started
Sentry brings open-source intelligence collection, AI analysis, and case management into one platform. A typical first session looks like this:
- Create an account and choose a plan on the sign-up page.
- Run a search in FieldQuery to pull results from across the open web.
- Set up an OverWatch feed to monitor a topic, entity, or source continuously.
- Review AI analysis โ Sentry classifies content and scores threats automatically.
- Build a Nexus profile and collect findings into a dossier to share with your team.
New to the platform? Start with a single monitored entity, confirm the alerts look right, then widen your coverage from there.
Core concepts
How analysis & threat scoring works
Every collected item is assessed and assigned a threat level. Sentry maps a 0–99 score onto a consistent five-level severity ladder so results stay comparable across the platform:
- Informational (0–19) โ context, no action needed.
- Low (20–39) โ worth noting.
- Medium (40–59) โ review recommended.
- High (60–79) โ likely needs a response.
- Critical (80+) โ urgent attention.
News, academic, and satirical content is downgraded automatically when there's no credible intent, which keeps day-to-day reporting out of your high-priority alerts.
