Product Changelog
A running log of notable features, improvements, and fixes across the Sentry platform.
Recent updates
Boolean queries for keyword feeds Feature
A keyword feed can now use AND, OR and NOT with parentheses and quoted phrases, for example EDC AND (Canada OR export). The query decides what is collected on every path, including searches saved into the feed, instead of a bare list of words.
Historical pulls now run to completion in the background Feature
A Last N years pull used to return a sample, because a single request was asked for one page of results. It now runs as a background job that pages through every Serper result, then GDELT, SEC EDGAR filings and Bluesky posts across the whole window, reports its progress on the feed page, and states plainly when a slice was too dense to finish. Pulled items are matched on whole words, and recent items are analysed before the backlog.
Weekly and monthly feeds, risk-domain alert filters and CSV export Feature
Feeds can now run weekly or monthly, alerts can be filtered by risk domain, a feed that is failing shows an error notice instead of looking quiet, and feed contents export to CSV.
SCIM 2.0 groups, scheduled profile refresh and smarter supplier imports Feature
SCIM provisioning now supports groups and discovery and can map group membership to roles. Profile refresh is scheduled from each profile watch level. Supplier imports match on LEI, D-U-N-S and CRA business number first and convert spreadsheet dates, and supplier thresholds, cadence by tier and failure visibility are now settings rather than constants.
Seven risk domains and a score export API Feature
Profiles are now scored across seven risk domains and the overall level is built from them, with the overall result explaining itself when it reads none. Scores and domains can be pulled through the API with a profiles scope, profiles and suppliers can be managed through the API, and each API key has its own rate limit.
Profiling API: reliable status polling, signed callbacks and a people check that stores nothing Fix
Every profiling request is now recorded so status polls no longer fail with not found, and callbacks from the analysis service are signed. The people check returns only pages tied to the candidate, searches the way an analyst does, keeps candidate scans out of your search history and stores nothing in Sentry. API key pages now show each key's request and data counts.
Cancelling keeps your access until the period you paid for ends Fix
Cancelling a subscription now takes effect at the end of the paid period, as both billing pages said it would. A dossier owner can also share a dossier with teammates directly from its Members card, and the currency picker works under the site security policy.
A rewritten, searchable user guide Feature
The user guide now covers every feature in the menu, is searchable, has collapsible sections and a glossary, and is available to signed-in users. Writing it turned up several controls that did nothing and a few broken pages, which are fixed.
One outlet no longer becomes one giant event Fix
GDELT items carry no headline of their own, so every article one outlet ran about the same person used to cluster into a single event. Each item is now judged on its own content, which stops a single keyword hit from inflating one event with hundreds of unrelated articles.
Genuine threats now reach alerting reliably Fix
Fixed two defects that stopped real threats from alerting. Analysis evidence was being discarded on the way to the alert check, and an event kept the severity of its first item even after deeper analysis raised it. An event now follows the current severity of its members, and your minimum severity setting still decides what you are told about. The global dashboard heat map, trending keywords, anomalies and map markers also work again.
Gaps and follow-ups on search results Feature
Search results now list the gaps found in an investigation and the leads worth chasing. Run any of them as a separate follow-up search linked to the original. A follow-up never repeats a search already run in the same investigation, results from every query appear together on a Findings tab, and finding nothing is recorded as incomplete coverage rather than as proof that nothing exists.
Profile confidence now measures identity, not how full a profile is Fix
The confidence figure on a profile card used to reward volume: any email address, any phone number and any social account counted the same whether they were the subject's own or harvested from a stranger's page. It now weighs declared identifiers, analyst confirmations and corrections, verification, and pages carrying one of your declared identifiers, and it is recalculated whenever a profile changes. Expect most existing profiles to show a lower figure. That is the intended correction.
Profiles named after the person, with your search context kept Fix
A query such as Jane Doe Canadian Military Halifax now creates a profile named Jane Doe, typed as a person, instead of naming it after the whole query. The qualifiers you typed are recorded as the profile context, and the intelligence dashboard confirms a page only when it carries the name plus that context, so a different person with the same name in another city no longer decides the picture.
Adverse media screening on profiles Feature
Profiles built from a search, and profile refreshes, now screen coverage for charges, convictions and sentencing involving the named subject. Hits appear as a flag with their sources and raise the profile risk only upward. A hit that matches the name but none of your search context is marked name only and capped at medium, because a namesake looks exactly like the subject. A flag an analyst dismissed is not raised again.
Profile generation from a search no longer fails silently Fix
Ticking Enable Automatic Intelligence Profile Generation on a search now reliably produces a profile. When one cannot be made, the results page says why instead of showing nothing. Profiles are built from the full result set, and a name already held by another account is refused rather than written into.
