Product Changelog
A running log of notable features, improvements, and fixes across the Sentry platform.
Recent updates
Ransomware leak postings matched to the entities you monitor Feature
Victims named on ransomware leak sites are now matched automatically against your monitored entities. Only close name matches are linked. A name that fits more than one monitored entity is left unlinked rather than guessed, so a link you see is one worth looking at.
Pay in Canadian dollars, US dollars, pounds or euros Feature
Plans and managed-service levels are priced in Canadian dollars. At checkout you can now pay in CAD, USD, GBP or EUR, converted at a current exchange rate before the charge is made, and the plan picker remembers the currency you used last. If a rate cannot be fetched, checkout in that currency is refused rather than guessed.
Global News & Media Source Registry Feature
Phase 1 of an expanded catalogue of global news and media sources is now available for collection, broadening coverage beyond the existing feed set.
Alerts for high-value exposure and missed remediation deadlines Feature
You are now notified automatically when a new CVE reaches a high-value or crown-jewel asset, and when a remediation record passes its due date, instead of needing to spot either one on the dashboard yourself.
More accurate profiles: a review queue and declared identifiers Feature
Newly collected facts about a profile, such as an email address, phone number or social account, now land in a review queue where you can accept, discard, or flag them, each labelled with how confidently Sentry believes it belongs to your subject. Identifiers you type in yourself are recorded as declared and take priority over anything collected later, so your own edits are never silently overwritten.
Changelog notifications and a “what's new” badge Feature
Product updates now appear on this page as soon as they are published, with no deploy required, and a “what's new” indicator in the navigation lets you know when there is something you have not seen yet.
Fixed profile intelligence scores for shared and new profiles Fix
The profile intelligence dashboard could under-score a profile you did not personally create, and could score a brand-new profile as if it had been measured and found empty rather than not yet scored at all. Both are fixed, and simply viewing a colleague's profile no longer changes its stored scores.
Sector threat landscape Feature
A new view shows the actors, campaigns and techniques Sentry's intelligence associates with your industry, alongside how much of your own estate is exposed to CVEs affecting that sector, with every panel labelled to show how the association was made.
Intelligence requirements and review cycles Feature
Record the standing questions behind your feeds and saved searches, for example why a particular set of keywords is being tracked, link the collection that serves each one, and set a review interval so a requirement is flagged when nobody has looked at it in a while.
Custom risk labels and regulatory tags Feature
Rename the five priority bands to match your own vocabulary, for example “P1 / Regulatory”, and route newly opened remediation records to a default owner. Tag assets with the compliance obligations they fall under, such as PCI-DSS or HIPAA, and see those obligations surfaced against every finding that touches them.
Restrict account access to approved IP ranges Security
Accounts can now be locked down to an allowlist of approved IPv4/IPv6 ranges, enforced both in the application and at the network edge. A break-glass path keeps administrators from being permanently locked out, and every denied access attempt is logged.
Rate indicators, actors and reports as useful Feature
Mark an indicator, threat actor or exported report as useful, not useful, or a false positive right from the page you are viewing it on, building a record of what has actually helped your team alongside the artefact itself.
Manually add indicators and threat actors Feature
Hand-enter an indicator of compromise or a threat actor you have identified yourself, alongside the ones Sentry ingests automatically from feeds. Every manual entry is validated on submission and versioned, so you can see what changed and when.
Threat campaign tracking Feature
Sentry now recognizes named threat campaigns from ingested threat intelligence, including their timeframe, associated actors, indicators and ATT&CK techniques, and lets you browse and export them alongside the existing actor and indicator registries.
Recruitment fraud detection Feature
Fake “we're hiring” posts impersonating your organization are now detected automatically. Off-domain application links, consumer-mailbox contacts, and lookalike careers domains are all cross-checked before anything is flagged, so your own genuine hiring posts are not mistaken for fraud.
