Product Changelog
A running log of notable features, improvements, and fixes across the Sentry platform.
Recent updates
Request an analyst briefing Feature
Submit a request directly to our analyst team from within the product and track its status through to delivery. Finished reports are attached to the request and available to download at any time, with turnaround time measured and reported per request.
Stale threat indicators age out automatically Feature
Indicators of compromise and threat actors that a feed has stopped republishing now age from active to deprecated to retired over time, so an old indicator eventually stops triggering alerts on its own while its match history stays available for reference.
Brand asset (logo) matching Feature
Register your organization's logos and wordmarks and Sentry will scan images already being collected, from feed items and app store listings, for visual matches, flagging recoloured, rescaled or near-identical reuse for your review against the hosts you have approved.
App store impersonation monitoring Feature
Sentry can now watch the Apple App Store and Google Play for counterfeit apps impersonating your brand, weighing name similarity and icon artwork against the listings you declare as genuinely yours, so your own official app is never mistaken for a fake.
Exploit maturity on vulnerability findings Feature
Vulnerabilities are now labelled with how far exploitation has progressed: proof-of-concept code exists, a working exploit is public, active exploitation has been observed, or none of the above. This sits alongside the existing CVSS, EPSS and CISA KEV signals so you can tell a merely severe CVE apart from one that is actually being used.
Vendor security advisories Feature
Security bulletins published directly by vendors are now ingested alongside NVD data and linked to the CVEs they cover, so a vulnerability finding can show the vendor's own remediation guidance rather than only NVD's description.
Vulnerability remediation tracking and SLA reporting Feature
Vulnerabilities found against your estate can now be assigned, tracked through to resolution, accepted as residual risk, or marked a false positive, each with its own due date and history. A new SLA dashboard reports adherence, mean time to resolve, and any exposure that has not yet been tracked, and can ride along on your scheduled reports.
Asset criticality now factors into vulnerability priority Feature
Tag the technologies in your estate as low, moderate, high, or crown-jewel importance. Vulnerability priority scoring now weighs which of your assets a CVE reaches, so a critical flaw on a crown-jewel system is ranked above the same flaw on a low-value machine.
Malware analysis: submit files, URLs and email messages Feature
Submit a suspicious file, URL, or email message (including .msg and .eml attachments) directly for sandboxed analysis. Submissions return a clear verdict, mapped MITRE ATT&CK techniques, and recommended defensive actions, with previously-seen files returning an instant result instead of a re-scan.
SMS alerts wait for a confirmed analysis Fix
Text alerts for news-driven events now hold until the content has actually been analysed, instead of firing on an initial keyword match with an unqualified confidence figure attached. Email, push and in-app alerts are unaffected.
Investigations: case-based OSINT scanning Feature
Recon scans are now organized into persistent investigation cases with a running timeline and a connected graph that links the emails, handles, names and other identifiers a scan turns up. Confirm or reject each finding as you review it, and export a case as a JSON, HTML or PDF report at any point.
Cleaner geographic intelligence Fix
Cleared a large backlog of orphaned location records left behind by deleted search results and feed items, which had been inflating geographic counts on the map and dashboard. The cleanup now runs automatically on an ongoing basis.
Smarter, adaptive social account collection Performance
Social accounts discovered through search and feeds now poll on an adaptive schedule that speeds up when new activity shows up and slows down when it does not, instead of pulling every registered account on every collection cycle.
Faster bulk analysis Performance
Increased analysis concurrency for roughly 2.5Γ faster processing on large search runs, with refreshed analysis model options.
Customisable, persistent dashboards Feature
Arrange your dashboard with drag-and-resize widgets, and your layout now persists across sessions. The Situational Awareness Map fills its widget cleanly at any size.
